Garlic: The Most Effective Cure for Pneumonia, Coughs, Colds, Ear Infections

How Was Pneumonia Treated in the Past?

Pneumonia was a very deadly disease until the discovery of penicillin. Medicine in the past didn’t have a way of subduing infections such as pneumonia, usually treating the symptoms only. That is until Alexander Fleming realized that the mold growing in his dish was destroying the Streptococcus bacteria. This marked the discovery of penicillin, a powerful antibiotic that can destroy everything you throw at it.

However, the constant use of antibiotics including penicillin resulted in the creation of drug-resistant bacteria, and antibiotics have been found to have quite a few negative effects as well. After all this time, medicine has to invent new ways of defeating already defeated infections.

Can Garlic be the Cure?

As it turns out, the solution to ear infections, colds, coughs, pneumonia, and other infections has been rather simple – garlic. Garlic is probably nature’s most effective antibiotic thanks to its rich nutrient profile. The active compound in garlic, allicin, is responsible for its incredible health benefits. Allicin’s effects on bacteria and viruses have been extensively studied, with all the studies confirming its great effects.

To activate the allicin, a garlic clove must be crushed or nicely chopped. For best results, a clove should be minced into a smooth paste that contains the highest amount of allicin. Medicine already knows that allicin has powerful antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal, and antiviral properties, so using it against infections does make sense.

Here’s a simple garlic cure that can help in cases of pneumonia, colds, and ear infections:

  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil

Pour the coconut oil in a pot and warm it up, but don’t let it boil. Add the olive oil next, then proceed with the crushed garlic cloves. Warm the mixture up for a few minutes while stirring, then strain it and save the liquid.

To use it against ear infections, rub a bit of the remedy around your ear opening. For colds and pneumonia, rub it on your chest. This amazing remedy can also be rubbed in your nostrils to treat sinus infections or rubbed on the feet in cases of athlete’s foot.
